They are sort of the “Kleenex” brand example of short term rental platforms. There are many good things about Airbnb, but they are far from the only game in town and there are many positives for other channels, most notably - some have much lower fees for hosts and guests. It’s important to know that different platforms are stronger in different countries, some are stronger in different age groups and in general each platform has itself a unique variety of demographics amongst its user base.
Therefore, if you want to optimise your visibility and reach, don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
