The Classic New Lunch Spot in Downtown Collingwood

If you're looking for a classic, filling, and delicious lunch spot in Collingwood's bustling Downtown, look no further than Brightside Deli. Located at 75 Hurontario St., Brightside Deli opened their doors for the first time on Tuesday, November 21st - a highly anticipated day for Collingwood locals!

Georgian Hills Vineyards Wines

As residents of Hurontario St. ourselves, we decided to walk over on opening day and check out this new vibrant and wholesome eatery. When you walk in, it's bright and modern, yet there's something nostalgic about the whole experience too. The vibe of the place is very approachable and warm. We especially appreciated the handwritten chalkboard menu on display behind the counters - a small touch that makes a big difference!

Now, on to the part I'm sure you're waiting for... how does the food taste?

We ordered a Classic Carver Roast Beef sandwich, and a Brightside Big Bite with Montreal Smoked Meat. As the one who ate the Classic Carver, the flavours are delicious! Brightside isn't afraid to really pile the ingredients on your sandwich - you really CAN taste the love! Plus, the pickled red onions on top were a mouthwatering addition... yum!

Each sandwich comes with a side bag of kettle chips, pickle spear, and optional drink. Or, they also offer side salads and soups if that's more of your thing. After you enjoy your sandwich in house or order it to go, you'll most definitely want to order one of their delicious pastries. There were too many delectable options to remember, but I certainly remember seeing cheesecakes, butter tarts, and even blondies!

Lastly, before you head out, you'll want to check out their display of jewelry, candles, candies, and more all made by local businesses. While we were there, we ended up purchasing some goodies from SuSu Dried and Pickled - pickled red onions, dill carrots, and even freeze dried Skittles. They were tastier than words can describe!

If our wonderful experience at Brightside hasn't persuaded you to visit, we recommend heading over and tasting for yourself! The food is delicious and made-to-order, the pastries are freshly made, and there's even local beer and wine available in house! This new downtown deli is definitely one to add to your itinerary the next time you stay with us in Collingwood or The Blue Mountains (trust us, it's worth the drive).
